Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most rare of all pop stars. She was an artist who could effortlessly bridge the gap between country and pop, conquering the globe. Swift shed the country influences like they were an extra layer of skin. She revealed that she was among the best singers/songwriters of the generation she was born into. Swift could make the occasion personal, or use the moment to benefit. The first songs she released like the Neotribute for Tim McGraw were a testament to her talents. However, her second album Fearless of 2008 proved to be the songwriter finding her voice and a wider audience. The album was hugely successful not just in America, where six of its singles have been certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also performed well around all over the world. Swift soared to the top of her game after the release of Speak Now. Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), her popularity increased and she was able to enter a music scene where it was clear that she deserved to be. Her name was always on top of the charts until she reverted to her own style on her sister albums folklore & Evermore in the year 2020.
