Her new-found fame was translated into roles on the big screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and other films. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. At the same time, she was also in lead roles in some films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started to voice prominent characters from animated films such including Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was an unimportant role which didn't have any impact.
