Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also directed films like Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The majority of her childhood was located living in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. Her mother was a movie fan and encouraged her to love films when she was a kid. Paula was involved in her school's co-curricular activities and particularly awed by the dramatic arts. Her classmates and she played together and was a part of the school's plays. After performing in a variety of shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and deciding to make acting her occupation. As a student in a summer camp offered by the University of Southern California, she was awe-inspiring there. She was given a three month task to produce documentary films for PBS. She started her career as a television production assistant after completing this assignment. Later, she moved on to producing documentaries. However, she had always wanted to become an actress, even though she was happy at her job. She started her career in acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star in love story Hitch. Since then, she has been in many films and TV series.
